MycoCap
=======

MycoCap is a fast Windows screenshot tool. Capture a region, a window or the
full screen, annotate the shot in the built-in editor, and save, copy, print,
email or share it - all within seconds.

MycoCap is based on Greenshot and is carried forward as an actively maintained
fork running on .NET 10.

WHAT SETUP WILL DO
------------------
* Install MycoCap for the current user by default. You can choose an all-users
(machine-wide) installation instead; that option requires administrator
  rights.
* Add MycoCap entries to the Start menu: launch MycoCap, Show Readme, Show
  license, and Uninstall.
* Optionally start MycoCap automatically when Windows starts.
* Optionally hand the Print Screen key over to MycoCap, which turns off the
default Windows 11 Snipping Tool shortcut for Print Screen.

.NET DESKTOP RUNTIME
--------------------
MycoCap requires the Microsoft Windows Desktop Runtime 10.0 or newer.
Published installers bundle their own copy of the runtime, so Setup installs it
automatically when it is missing; you normally download nothing yourself. If the
runtime is already present, Setup continues without changing it. Only a build
deliberately made as a download stub, which is never published, fetches the
runtime over the network.

LICENCE AND CREDITS
-------------------
MycoCap is free software released under the GNU General Public License, version 3
or any later version (GPL-3.0-or-later). See license.txt or
https://www.gnu.org/licenses/gpl.html.

MycoCap is based on Greenshot (https://github.com/greenshot/greenshot), by
Thomas Braun, Jens Klingen and Robin Krom. Thanks to the Greenshot project and
all of its contributors.

STARTING MYCOCAP
----------------
After installation, start MycoCap from the Start menu or run MycoCap.exe. A
portable build is also available; in that build, use MycoCap-Launcher.cmd, which
checks for the .NET Desktop Runtime and then starts MycoCap.exe.
